No, the SMS technology will not forward these messages, please use your international no. for SMS messaging.
Will my phone/device work overseas?
In some countries a tri band or a quad band phone will be required. These bands relate the frequency on which the countries networks operate. Check your phone before you leave as the USA requires a tri band phone and in some areas a quad band phone is desirable for more comprehensive coverage. A quad band phone is required for Japan. Please see the GSM World website for more detail: www.gsmworld.com
Will my Handset work with a GMG SIM Card?
As long as your handset is unlocked from your Australian carrier, please check with your local network prior to departure. iPhone devices and pre-paid phones are generally locked to the network.
If I lose my SIM card or it is stolen, what do I do?
Contact our Helpdesk immediately on +61 2 9880 7366, users are responsible for all call charges until the SIM has been reported stolen to the network..

BlackBerry

What do I do if the unit does not find Network?
Choose to manually roam on to a network that has a roaming agreement with your own network.
• To do this click on Options, then Network.
• Scroll on to automatic, click the track wheel.
• Choose Change Option and select Manual.
• Choose Scan for Available Networks and select the appropriate network.
What do I do if the unit is not finding GPRS?
Check the signal strength on the unit and look at the letters next to the signal strength indicator.
If it says OFF scroll to the Wireless icon and select Turn Wireless ON.
If the letters say SOS, GPS or gprs (lower case) the unit is not finding the network.
To resolve this remove the battery from the unit and then reinsert it.
If you are still getting no signal on start up contact our helpdesk.

Data

The data card will not find the Network, what do I do?
Remove the SIM from the data card and place in a mobile phone. You will need to choose to manually roam on to the network that you want to use for your data connection. (You may need to contact the phone manufacturer for instructions on how to manually roam).
Once you are connected on the network leave the SIM in phone for about ten minutes. Make a couple of calls and try to browse the net. This will make sure the card is then registered on the network. Place the SIM back in the data card and try the connection again.
The data card will not connect after I install the software, what do I do?
Logon to the profile manager on the data card software and edit the profile. Make sure the APN is set correctly for the network that the SIM card is registered with. For example for O2 UK the APN is mobile.o2.co.uk.
What do you get for a Megabyte (Mb)?
Some examples of what you can receive for a megabyte include: 1000 standard WAP pages ( in black and white ), 150-200 WAP pages ( in colour ), 200 PDA web pages ( text only ), 100 PDA web pages ( pictures ), 30 web pages as you would see on a laptop.
What is the APN (Access Point Name) for the country I am in?
Please contact our Helpdesk on 0011 61 2 9880 7366 for an up to date list of APN’s.
